Many of you have been inquiring as to the status of the Sawtooth Relay scheduled for June 13, 2020. The health and safety of the Sawtooth Relay athletes, volunteers, committee, and the communities in which we live and recreate, is of great concern for us.
Therefore, we are cancelling the relay for this year. We will be refunding your entry fees soon and we will notify any teams whose entry has not yet been processed. Entry fee checks will be shredded and money orders will be returned.
Please mark your calendars for next year’s Sawtooth Relay which is set for Saturday, June 12, 2021.
Many of you know we are a nonprofit raising funds for research to find treatments and a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease. While we remain committed to our purpose and goal, we are setting aside our activities to make way for critical plans and actions to protect the vulnerable people in our communities.
Please do your part, daily, to slow the spread of this deadly disease. Mindful actions, restraint and vigilance are key to learning new safe habits and healthy routines. Slowing down and thinking through the next step before we act will make a difference.
We hope you are able to remain active during this challenging time. Physical activity is so important to your physical, mental and emotional well being. We greatly appreciate your support for the past 18 years and we hope to see you healthy and happy at Sawtooth Relay next summer.
